If you’ve seen these tissue poms on Pinterest and you have been wanting to try them, go for it! It really was an easy, inexpensive way to add a punch of color and create a party atmosphere.
I bought packages of tissue paper for $.99 each at Hobby Lobby, so I made two groupings of our party colors (pink, orange, and brown). I don’t have anything to add, but here is a step-by-step tutorial with photos. Scotch tape did work to keep them on the ceiling, but it took several pieces for each pom, so I will think about using something else next time.
Since I generally have seasonal or thematic word art displayed, I found this free printable to display (and send home with the mama).
Who doesn’t love fresh flowers? It’s an easy, classy way to add more color to your party (and something else to send home with the mama).
Michelle picked out pink nail polish for our party favors, and we used this free printable for our tags. Nail polish is a fairly practical party favor. I know I’ll use mine!
I found these printable owls when looking for tags. I wasn’t sure how they would be used, but I figured it could not hurt to have more owls in our party colors. These three ended up on the mantle. So really, ALL of my decorations went home with the mama we were showering. There are owls in the nursery, and even if she doesn’t use it all, her son (soon to be big brother) may enjoy playing with it.
